Introductory Choir

For boys ages 5-8 years old

No Audition Required

The Northwest Boychoir is excited to announce a new choir open to all boys ages 5–8. This non-auditioned choir welcomes any boy with an interest in singing, regardless of prior experience. It’s perfect for those who may not want to audition for our Boychoir, and with only one rehearsal per week, it’s a low-commitment option. In the Introductory Choir, boys will enjoy singing fun songs and playing engaging games in a lively environment. They will also learn the basics of reading music, with an introduction to solfege and rhythm skills.

Rehearsals for the Introductory Choir take place once a week from 4:30–5:30 PM on either Monday or Wednesday at our beautiful rehearsal space in Seattle’s University District. Intro Choir runs from September through June each year, and accepts new members from September – October and January – March. Come to our Preview Night!

Join us for Preview Night on Monday, September 16th, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM at our rehearsal facility at 5031 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105 NB2. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our choir director, tour the rehearsal space, and connect with other Intro Choir families. While the kids enjoy fun songs and music games, parents and guardians are welcome to observe and ask any questions. It’s a fun and informative introduction to our program, and we hope to see you all there!
